The Baltic coast in late autumn is a place of solitude. The summer crowds have long departed, leaving behind wide, windswept beaches and the steady, rhythmic sound of gray waves.
I spent three days walking along the shoreline. The sky remained a soft, uniform gray, casting a diffused, gentle light over the dunes and dry beach grass. In this landscape, colors are muted, and the details become prominent: the pattern of ripples on the sand, the texture of weathered driftwood, and the cry of seagulls echoing in the cold air.
Capturing the Silence
Photographing a minimalist landscape requires patience. With few elements in the frame, composition and light become everything. I waited for hours as the tide slowly shifted, watching the water smooth out the footprints from the day before.
